Copying in museum

Sometimes I have a possibility to work in museum. I did a copy of old masters painting in State Hermitage in St-Petersburg. Of course its quite rare chance to copy in museum because of a lot of bureaucracy problems, but a very good practice for every artist to copy from original masterpiece, face to face.

Here photo from State Hermitage, St-Petersburg. I copied a painting of old Flemish master Jacob van Loo (near 1640).

There is photo of my work. This copy created in museum, from original masterpiece, followed to all oil painting technologies

Fragment

For creating this copy it takes about 3 month. I could come for work only before opening of museum from 8 to 9 a.m., 5 days per week. So it’s about 5 hours a week. And one whole day when museum closed for visitors.

You can order any painting which You like including this one. For details please write to artwindd@gmail.com
