Still life with pumpkin on a blue drapery

My new painting for today is still life with pumpkin on a blue drapery. Oil on canvas, 30x40cm.
The drapery pattern named “Turkish cucumber” is my favorite cloth design. And combination of blue and ochre/orange color in my opinion is one of the most beautiful in nature.

I carefully painted all folds of drapery and the ornament.

Also I took attention to nuts, thinly painted every streaks and hollows on the shell. I applied transparent repaint in the shadows and texture strokes in the lights.
I tried to depict a smooth shiny surface of pumpkin with fluid strokes blended one inter another, and didn’t forget about details to get maximum realistic effect.
